Author of YA magical realism grounded in real life
Hello, friend!
Welcome to my little virtual coffeeshop, where I like to imagine every table has a bouquet of sunflowers and a mug of hot chocolate.
I’m Abi, a nineteen-year-old author writing for young adults like myself, seeking safe stories to hold them as they navigate grief and growing up. My stories seek to show that you’re not alone in the messiness, fears, and firsts of becoming an adult. Think Letters to the Lost and The Summer We Forgot, but with fingerprints of magic.
Quinn Oliver is the first character of mine you can meet. She takes the lead in my short story, The Little Tire Shop, fighting to save her family’s magical mechanic shop that’s beginning to crumble after the death of her Pops. But if she can’t even fix a car, how is she supposed to repair her Pops’s legacy? (And if that doesn’t grab you, the story also includes a car-racing older brother, because sibling relationships are my favorite.) You can learn more about this story in the “My Stories” section. (I’m very clever like that.)
Now, I’m pursuing traditional publication for my full-length novels, so if you stick around, you might hear some exciting news soon. 👀 If you want to be in the loop with updates on my author journey, I’d love for you to join my email list below. 😉 I love connecting with fellow book lovers! Feel free to stay here as long as you’d like and make yourself comfy. 💛
